The Anti-Christ Misconstruction

Some of the so-called students of Bible prophecy talk so very glibly about a looming devious potentate – an imminent danger coming upon the world! Certainly, they miss the truth of Bible prophecy! The truth of the anti-Christ matter is that such elements have been existing since “the last hour” of the apostolic era. The apostle John, who was the last apostle of that era, while still in Ephesus, wrote as far back as circa 98 AD that the antichrists had already loosened themselves upon the world! Please read from the NIV Bible: “Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.” We need to get the correct definition of the anti-Christ so that we can know whether or not they have already appeared and in what form or forms. Therefore, the “students of Bible prophecy” will do very well to study 1st John 4:3 and 2nd John 7 to get this definition. And the apostle John wrote: “as you have heard …” From whom could these Ephesian godsons and goddaughters of John have heard or read? Of course, from authorities like Jesus Christ (Matt. 24:5, 24), and the apostle Paul (1st Tim 4:1; 2nd Thess 2:5). Are examples of these antichrists still extant? Oh, yes! Some of the miracle workers, who by their miracles draw attention to themselves instead of Jesus Christ, are in that number. (Matt 7:22, 23; 2 Thess 2:9). By the same token, all strands of counterfeit Christianity and other religions are antichrists. Even governments and secular institutions opposed to Christ are antichrist. (Psalm 2:2) Are you still there waiting for the mighty Anti-Christ? Then you are like that woman still looking for the body of Jesus in the tomb! CF Monye 28 November 2013
